Knitted from 18.5 micron merino at a 12-gauge — fine enough to wear under a jacket, heavy enough to be the outer layer on its own.
Fully fashioned, meaning each panel is knitted to shape and linked rather than cut from a larger piece. The shoulder seam is flat-linked by hand, which is why it does not bulk up under a coat.
At 18.5 micron the fibre is below the threshold where most people feel prickle, so it sits against the skin without the scratch associated with wool.
